    A seasoned and hands-on marketing (professional and consumer) and business development manager with over 5 years experience in business consultancy and over 20 years international experience within the Medical Devices, Optical & FMCS industry at Hollister Limited in the UK and Johnson & Johnson Ltd, across U.K., India and Philippines. Proficiency in developing business strategies and the passion and hands on approach in flawlessly executing them. A strong team leader who enjoys working with cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.

    Shekhar is now based in the UK since 2007 and currently launching a leading Neck Up PPE manufacturer from India in the UK & EU. Project invokes setting up a distribution network in the UK to cater to the European market to service all industrial and medical distributors.
    Prior to this, as Country Manager, UK, in a span of 4 years doubled the business and the increased product usage penetration from 52% to 97% of the Hollister Critical Products within the 250 ICU’s in NHS UK.

    As marketing head, successfully launched the Hollister Critical Care in the UK very innovatively positioning the brand to the healthcare professionals with a touch of consumer marketing. The key strategy was to focus on the three main motivators of any healthcare practitioner; World-class products, service and education. Set up the Hollister Academy under which we rolled out all the non-product related educational programs, which very really appreciated.

    A successful career with Johnson & Johnson across consumer, medical and vision care segments spanning over 21 years. Roles included business development, marketing, event management working with the Global teams.

    Key achievement was launching the first Acuvue 2 lens pack for £1, based on the Indian consumer insight of buying small packs. The other one was working with the global team to launch the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Academy aimed to educate the healthcare professionals towards educating the end consumer with the right vision correction options.

    Shekhar is very passionate about event management and led the organising team of the prestigious Femina Miss India event -2005. Being an avid food connoisseur, he was on the panel of judges of the “Times of India- Best Street Food- Mumbai” contest -2005-06 along with eminent personalities.

    Shekhar has a very high achievement drive, works very well with all stakeholders and motivates them to give their best. He is settled in the UK since 2007, happily married with a daughter and a son. His passion in life is driving and promoting authentic Indian food and India to the British and Europeans
